ART CREATION
This competition will be due by the day before the Talent Consortium.
The school coordinator will take all work turned in and display the work for the judges to score on the day of the Talent Consortium.
The work may be two dimensional or three, but it must be able to fit through a standard door.
The work must be signed by the author in an out-of-sight location.
The artist may use any standard art material or tool for the work.
The work and ideas must be from the student artist and unaided by any adult.
Each piece will be assigned a value of 1 to 7 on the follow criteria: 1-2 3-4 5-6 7
Does it follow rules of the style chosen? Not at all Somewhat For the Most Part Completely
How creative is the piece? Not at all Somewhat Creative Unique
How much effort went into its creation? Thrown together Little Planning Some Planning Meticulous Construction
What is the degree of craftsmanship? Falling Apart Flimsy Sturdy Solid/Durable
How well does it use the elements of art? Not at all Somewhat For the Most Part Completely
(texture, color, form, and use of space)
How well does it use the principles of design? Not at all Somewhat For the Most Part Completely
(repetition, balance, contrast, and unity)
This year each work must show the student's mastery of any form of the Van Gogh style.
