The Lion and the Phoenix
A Fable by William, Currel, and Leah
There once was a lion that was popular with the ladies. He could get any animal in the forest.
The lion would say, "If you marry me you will live in my castle and you shall get
your every wish."
Every woman married him. Every time something went wrong he would throw them
in the dungeon. One time they would spend all his money or they would take his gold.
One day the lion was looking for a new wife. He found a phoenix. And he said those words but she didn't fall for it.
The Phoenix said, "I won't fall for your tricks! Every woman you marry gets thrown in the dungeon! I am too busy to be put in there! I won't take the bribe because you really don't love me."
The moral of our story is: Love does not have to bribe.
